Who should use this site?

This site is designed to be used by healthcare professionals to choose among interactive cancer prognostic tools that will help aid them in communicating cancer prognosis with patients and to support shared decision making.

How do I use this site?

You can use the site by searching for tools three different ways: View All Tools, Compare Tools by Cancer Site, and Search Tools by specifying criteria. Additionally, you can visit the tutorial page.

How were the tools selected?

Tools were selected using a systematic approach, which involved searching the Internet, Medline, and consultation with experts to identify existing online tools. Each tool was reviewed for content and format. You can read more about the tool selection in our Methods section.

Can I submit a tool?

Yes. If you know of or use a cancer prognostic tool that you do not see listed, you can submit it under the Submit a Tool page. To see what types of tools are eligible for submission, read our Methods section under Tool Eligibility. New tools will be added to the site once they are validated according to our Methods.

What does it mean to register to the site?

By registering and logging on to the Cancer Prognostic Resources website, you will be able to rate and comment on the tools. If you have used any of these tools in the past, you can rank them using the five-star system, as well as add your experiences using the tools. Your personal information will be kept secure and will not be used for any other purposes other than your ability to rank and comment on the tools.
